All my friends know I take special care of what I eat, and that rarely includes junk food, but being in the Land of Bush, I had to make an exception when someone told me about SKIP'S a 60-year old purveyor of exceptional hamburgers, and a restaurant I have heard about for many years, but had never tried. Suffice to say, the bacon double cheeseburger was absolutely superb, with top quality minced beed, tangy cheese and homecooked bread. A gastroexperience in an unexpected place...

Le PĂ©tomane...
??????
Amazing, the french fries looks like spagettis !!
And I guess this is real Texas, just by having a look at the horrible "allure" of the two shorts in baskets
standing outside ... beurk ! A little effort for the others, please !
By the way, very nice picture of the inside 7o's.
And I like to know, to you have a good place in Paris for real burger ?
Skips is unquestionably the best burger in the world.
HI Adrian!
I see u are from France (and let me say, I just about died when u called MASS the land of BUSH (MASS, is a notorious Democratic State...known as Land of the Kennedys!) but then I saw u were from France, so of course, you would refer to the entire Etats Unis as land of Bush....He makes most of us gag! LOL
Btw, I was born en France...but i am so glad u loved Skips! I grew up eating there, from the time I was little my grandparents would take me there! My cousin worked there for about 10 yrs also! I found your blog when I was trying to discover when they open for the season (its usually Mothers day weekend, or Memorial day weekend....) I have lived out of New England area for many yrs, but was going to be up there next month.....and im craving a cheeseburger special!
Anyway, I am so glad someone from across the pond enjoyed their food! I will let them know they have gone global! I will also save your blog for future reference, for my next visit to France!
Au Revoir,
Missy
ps...I am so hungry now, mostly for some true French food! I wish I knew the name of this awesome pizza place i went to on the Champs Elysees, it was such unusual pizza...but honestly, I would give anything for some true croissants, pain, and crepes! and some verveine tea, saussicons, etc etc :o)
So I was just reminiscing over Skips and decided to google it and here I am at your blog. 2 things. 1) Skips is indeed awesome 2) "The land of Bush" couldn't be further off the mark when referring to Massachusetts.
--haha, I just saw another girl posted the same thing.
Anyway, cheers to you and Nicolas Sarkozy!
Thanks , Adam, that Bush comment is obviously outdated now, but was valid at the time ! I tried reading your blog, but couldn't understand anything- it went way over my head!
its really a good blog.
