Names have not been named to protect the gastronomically guilty

Funny how this (ie, snacks at a hotel bar located near the Champs Elysees)

titilated my taste buds more than this (ie one of the most famous Michelin starred establishments in Paris):

Taillevent ?!? Not sure of the plate though...

Is this where you went last week? I think I can see that painted cherub mural reflected in your porcelain, no? If it is where I'm thinking, I've only eaten in the brasserie so haven't had any of the big slabs pictured. This looks a bit 'cuisine du lump'.

yes! the first is great bar snacks in a small luxury hotel, the second a series of not very interesting dishes from a well-known establishment. Although we were a large group dining, and 'banquet' style dining always suffers even in the best places, it was a little bit of a let- down. I had very high expectations. They came crashing down :(

So was I right about the identity of the second venue? I'll be double-Michelin starring this Wednesday. Hope I'm not similarly let down...

Think so. Where you going?

Tell you later (after all, what if it's equally disppointing)...
