Paris Coffee Zeitgeist / Black Book Magazine

Here's a link to my piece in today's Black Book with my "best of" list of coffeehouses in the City of Light:

Try these:

Le Bal Café  , 6 impasse de la Defense, 18th

Le Caféothèque, 52 rue de l’Hotel de Ville, 4th

Café Lomi, 9 rue de Saussure 17ème)

Kooka Burra, 53 avenue Trudaine, 9th

Coutume Café, 47 rue de Babylone, 7th

How was kooka burra? Stopped in, looked cute but menu offerings didn't jump out at me - how's the food?

Appreciate your comments but it's hard to believe that supposedly one of the best places in the city would have their beans roasted in another country (!), or at least that, this being the case, anyone would anyone make any grand claims about it.

I understand that Paris is not a mecca for coffee, and that it is currently dragging itself out of the dark ages to some extent, but let's not pretend they're there yet!
